Makes approx. 7 servings when mixed with dry food (for us, double even triple for smaller dogs).
🧾 Ingredients:
2–3 lbs of meat (chicken breast, ground beef, turkey, or lamb – boneless and skinless)
2 large beef marrow bones or knuckle bones (for nutrients and flavor – remove before serving)
1 lb chicken or beef liver.
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
2 ½ to 3 cups water (just enough to cover the ingredients)
🍲 Instructions:
Prep the Ingredients:
Dice the sweet potatoes.
Cut meat into chunks if not ground, optional.
Layer in the Crockpot:
Place sweet potatoes at the bottom.
Add meat on top.
Place beef bones over the meat.
Pour in water to just cover the contents.
Cook:
Set crockpot on High for 8 hours.
Optional: Stir halfway through to distribute.
Cool & Finish:
Let cool completely.
Remove bones carefully – never serve cooked bones to dogs.
Shred or mash ingredients together.
Serve & Store:
Mix with your dog’s dry food (roughly 25/75 or to your vet’s guidance).
Store portions in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze extras for up to 2 months.
✅ Notes:
No seasoning needed — dogs don’t need salt or spices!
You can add carrots, peas, or green beans for extra nutrients (optional).
Always consult your vet before changing your dog’s diet.
If your dog is new to real food, start with just a little and add more in slow increments over time.
